Welcoming a new baby is a joyous occasion, especially when we finally get to see them in person after waiting for so long. Ultrasounds give us a sneak peek, but nothing beats the feeling of holding them close.

Babies can have surprising and unique features, like a lot of hair or cute dimples. Sometimes, it’s even more surprising when a baby doesn’t look anything like their parents.

One family’s story went viral, causing curiosity and speculation online. Read on to discover what happened.

Version 1: Rachel, a cashier at Celina 52 Truck Stop in Tennessee, gave birth to her son, Cash Jamal Buckman, on February 17. People were surprised because Rachel and her fiancé, Paul Buckman, are both white, but Cash looks Black.

VThe truck stop posted a picture of the joyful family on Facebook, celebrating Rachel’s new baby.

Our cashier Rachel and her fiancé Paul Buckman welcomed their baby boy Cash Jamal Buckman on Saturday at 6:18pm.

Instead of receiving good wishes, the post got comments doubting Cash’s paternity, with some saying that Paul may not be the real father.

Celina 52 Truck Stop updated their post to confirm that Paul is the father of Rachel, mentioning that her African American DNA can result in a child being born with darker skin due to skipping generations.

They also brought up the chance of Cash having jaundice, a common issue in newborns, and ended the post by saying: “Please show compassion.”

Despite the truck stop’s explanation, doubts and jokes continued to circulate online.

One person wrote: “Congratulations!!! I AM sure he looks just like his dad. Where is he?”

Another added: “Definitely needs a DNA test; what if they accidentally mixed up the kiddos in the nursery?”

Version 1: Some individuals showed compassion for Paul, while another user said, “I pity Paul, being deceived like this is extremely creepy. Hopefully he will become more aware.”

Rachel then chose to handle the situation herself by posting her supposed DNA findings on Facebook as evidence of her heritage.

“For the haters saying that I [don’t] have black DNA maybe this will clear it up straight from my ancestry DNA results !!!! NOW STOP slandering mine and my [fiancé] Paul Buckman name. he IS the father of Lil Cash,” she wrote.

The jokes kept coming, as people made light of the situation and questioned the test results.

One person joked, “That’s the toughest 1% I’ve ever seen … Maury should handle this.”

Another user shared, “I have that too … and my kids still look as Irish as a boiled potato.”

The story spread quickly on social media, with thousands sharing their thoughts. Even TikTokers joined in, adding their own funny comments.

As rumors swirled, Celina 52 Truck Stop decided to conduct polygraph and DNA tests on their staff. This announcement only fueled the speculation, with many eagerly waiting for the results.

Although the truth is still unknown, one thing is certain: this surprising turn of events has caught the attention of many, turning a simple birth announcement into a viral sensation!
