These Indonesian Tribespeople Turns Their Eyes Bright Blue As They Have A Rare Genetic Condition

Indonesian geologist and photographer, Korchnoi Pasaribu recently traveled to the small island of Buton to photograph some of the local tribespeople. Some of the island’s natives have one very distinctive feature – incredibly bright and blue eyes as they are affected by a rare genetic condition called the Waardenburg syndrome.

Korchnoi said he has known the tribespeople since 2019 in a recent interview with Bored Panda. But he has gone there on September of this year to photograph them and he was very happy to take their photos. Here are Korchnoi breathtaking photos of the Buton island residents!
