The Older You Get, the More You Hate People (Here Is Why It Is OK)!

It is a strong word, “Hate”. This is a common fact that when you get older, you don’t like much to please others and be with negative people as you don’t like to stand small talk, you aren’t alone. There is probably a good reason for somebody to go from having ten “close” friends to only one or two within a short period of time.

Research has shown that now a day people have fewer confidantes than 25 years ago. Within a period of 6 months, nearly 50% of people will confide in a close friend about their private matter.

Here Is Why You Care Less for People As You Get Older:

You want to do what’s truly important to you

You’ll feel that you have all the time in the world when you are young. When you get older, you realize that the best thing is to spend your time to do what’s more important to you.

You would love to play with your friend in your twenties. But when you get older you’d spend the time to treat yourself or cooking delicious food to your family or partner.

You cannot stand wishy-washy

You may feel guilty when you use, ‘It has been too long! We must get together sometime!’ When you are younger, everybody means it. When you are with new scenery, new responsibilities and new people, it is easy to feel isolated. But, as you get older, you’ll realize that it’s better to say, ‘it is nice to see you.’

You’re not interested in foolishness

When you are getting older, you’ll learn more about yourself and the people around you. It may be difficult not to get caught up in a friend’s relationship woes or family drama when you are younger. But, when you are younger, you’ll notice the trends in people’s lives and know the place to go away from the situation.

You’ll also understand that you cannot help everyone around us, but you’ll wish them the best. You may also realize that getting involved in those problems may waste your time and energy.

You don’t try to make new friends

When you have finished your school life, your social life suddenly undergoes and makes a drastic transformation. At this time your opportunities to make new friends will become rarer even though you spent a lot of time with more friends in the school life.

And also it is a little bit hard to find new friends in adulthood. The friendships you had for a long time and you believed that will last for a lifetime may gradually die as they gain new family commitments and relocate for work.

You’ll also need more time to spend with your family and less time with your friends. And it is OK.
