This House Is Made Out Of Shipping Containers By An Architect And The Inside Is Really Impressive

James Whitaker, a London-based designer has creates an awesomely bonkers house design with shipping containers in a shape of a desert flower-like cascade. This design is actually going to get built!

This house is 200-square meters and it all has a kitchen, a living room, and even three en-suite bedrooms. They all are fitted inside shipping containers joined into a single unit.

An anonymous film producer who likes to support creative projects like these wanted to build this house. So, he couldn’t just walk past this one: James said, “Earlier this year my client in LA had some friends visiting and, having a little time to spare, they all went on a road trip to visit the client’s plot of land in Joshua Tree. One of the friends said, “you know what would look great here?”, before opening her laptop to show everyone a picture she’d seen on the internet. The picture was of an office that I’d designed several years ago but had never been built, so the next time the client was in London he got in touch and asked to meet up.”

The Joshua Tree Residence is the residence and it will be built on the client’s 90-acre plot of land in California. Next year, the construction is scheduled to begin, and the final version will also be solar powered from panels on the garage roof. The design is stunning while it also more self-sustainable.
