Lots of children’s books, especially silly stories were written by Robert Munsch. Many kids and parents love those stories.

It can be a book about pigs, a paper bag princess, or even bodily functions or anything; he has a great ability to turn them into amazing stories.

But one story of him always managed to make us all cry. Millions of people love this story even when they grew up and we all cry at the end of the book. The book is ‘Love You Forever.’

This story is about the love between a mother and her son. The mother sings a song to her son that we all can remember forever.

“I’ll love you forever,
I’ll like you for always,
As long as I’m living,
my baby you’ll be.”
This song and the story have the ability to make us all emotional as this is a truly heartbreaking story from Robert Munsch’s real life.
According to Munsch, the story started as a song that was stuck in his head for years. Even though it has sweet message, it is not a happy a song. It’s really a sad story for him that last for many years.

He said that, “For a long time I had it in my head and I couldn’t even sing it because every time I tried to sing it I cried.”
As it was dedicated to his wife, it was so upsetting for him. He also said that, “I made that up after my wife and I had two babies born dead. The song was my song to my dead babies.”

The book has a strange way of itself. The regular children’s book publisher of him rejected the book and he found another place for the book fairly easy. The weird part is the sales of the book. It was really stranger than anyone expected.

“One day the publisher called up and said ‘This is very strange. It is selling very well in retirement communities in Arizona. It is selling in retirement communities where kids are illegal. This is supposed to be a children’s book. What is going on?’”

It was surprising that adults were buying the book for each other. He said, “Parents buy it for grandparents and grandparents buy it for parents and kids buy it for everybody and everybody buys it for kids.”

Even though the story is heartbreaking, it has helped millions of people express their love for their family and friends.
