The world can be a frightening place for those with disabilities, and this applies not just to humans, but also to animals.
When Ace, a lovely black and white cat, was adopted by a family, he had already spent a considerable amount of time in the shelter. The reason for this was his missing eye, which made him less desirable to potential adopters.
However, everything changed when a woman named Norma and her family brought him into their home. Ace flourished in their care, relishing the moments spent on the porch, soaking up the sun and enjoying scratches.
Unfortunately, whenever he attempted to approach someone passing by, they would often walk away, deterred by his missing eye. Norma mentioned that people seemed to be intimidated by the adorable cat, even though he was truly the best pet anyone could wish for, with a sweet disposition and a bubbly personality.
Since Ace loved being outdoors for most of the day, Norma made the decision to set up a security camera to keep an eye on him while she stayed inside the house. What she didn’t anticipate, though, was a delightful visit from an unfamiliar young boy.
While reviewing the camera footage, something she occasionally did, she spotted a boy on his bicycle stopping in front of their house. He walked over to Ace, who seemed thrilled to see him, leading Norma to realize that this wasn’t their first encounter. She was convinced the boy had visited before, as Ace appeared relaxed around him.
The boy began to cuddle with Ace, and they enjoyed some time together. It was undoubtedly one of the most adorable moments Norma had ever seen.
In the following days, she found herself eagerly awaiting the boy’s return, and just as she hoped, he came back.
The boy stopped by their porch once more, and that’s when Norma chose to step outside and say hello. She invited him to come and play with Ace whenever he liked.
Her invitation brought a big smile to the boy’s face. It was clear he loved being around Ace, and unlike most people, he wasn’t afraid of him.
“A friend of Ace’s is a friend of ours,” Norma said sincerely.
She later posted the video on social media, and several media outlets picked it up, showcasing the innocence of children and animals.
