27 – Year – Old Woman To Become First Female Ever To Visit Every Country On Earth

You’d definitely love to travel around the world and get paid for it. It will be a great experience until you run out of savings midway through. A 27-year-old girl from Connecticut, Cassie De Pecol, after a year and a half of planning, embarked on a journey to become the fastest person to visit every single country in the world.

She took 18 months to complete the trip which cost $111,000. Even though she was almost derailed when she ran out of funding halfway through the trip, she broke two Guinness World Records in the end by seeing all 196 sovereign countries. She had to get creative to pay for the trip as her two records didn’t come cheap. She said that she has saved $10,000 from two babysitting jobs and using athletes like Michael Phelps as her model networked in search of sponsors and investors to fund the rest of her trip to MONEY in a Facebook Live interview.

We’d be impressed if someone traveled to 50 countries, we’d be super impressed if someone traveled to 100 countries. But, what we’d be if someone traveled to every single country on this planet and became the first documented female, youngest American, and the fastest traveler to visit all 196 countries?

Cassandra De Pecol, 27 years old young girl from Connecticut has already traveled to 181 countries since July 2015. She is well on course to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest person to travel to all Sovereign States with an additional 11 countries with only 15 countries remaining and 40 days to go. Expedition196 is her amazing journey and she is traveling as an Ambassador for peace on behalf of the International Institute for Peace Through Tourism. We are not able to follow her all the time, but we can follow her inspirational journey via Instagram.
